Ballot box robot

This was made while I was working at Machine Shop Special Effects, in 2012.

The robot is part pneumatic and part puppet, controlled by rods and wires. It was commissioned for a campaign to remind people to register to vote.

The director was Jake Lunt Davies, who went on to do some incredible concept design for Star Wars. I also worked with Jake on this job - he is a nice chap who is phenomenally good at sketching ideas.
