'Oreoscopes' for Google / Android
These interactive units were made working closely with Nexus Studios, who created an animated environment that could be explored by rotating handles.
The Oreoscopes were fabricated out of industrial PVC ducting, with an internal steel frame mounted on large bearings. Potentiometers and rotary encoders allowed positional data to be monitored by the game engine, which then displayed the animation via a screen and angled mirror.
On completion the three systems were shipped to Barcelona for the 2018 Mobile World Congress.
